FAQ’s

So is The Journey a church service?

The Journey is a service of Trinity Reformed Church.  We are Christians who have been changed by our relationship with Jesus Christ and we want other people to know the joy and hope that we have found in Him.  Whether you are not a follower of Jesus or have been following Jesus for many years, we hope that the Journey will help you take the next step towards Him.  If you are not a follower of Jesus, our goal is not to force or coerce you to “convert.”  We believe that faith is something that God gives, not something that is debated out of you.

Is the Journey an “extra service?”

Many people have asked if The Journey an extra service, meaning are you supposed to come Sunday morning and then to Sunday afternoon (is 4:15 considered afternoon or evening?).  The Journey is its own service.  Our hope is that people will choose one of the three services that Trinity has and attend  that service.

How is The Journey different than the morning worship services?

The Journey will take place in the Video Venue rather than the sanctuary.  Also we hope that a smaller more intimate setting will allow us to have more of an interactive style.  We want your input, questions, singing, and art to be a part of the service.  We also want to try and avoid a lot of the assumptions normally associated with church.  Assumptions like everyone here is a follower of Jesus, and everyone knows the songs and why we do the things we do.  There are other style differences as well that will probably change as The Journey figures out its identity
